Restaurant editors from Gayot announced their hugely popular list of “Best Burgers in the USA” with a local hotspot beating the competition across the country! Topping the list was nonother than Houston’s own Becks Prime. Known for their hearty patties grilled over 1000˚F mesquite and freshly baked egg buns, Becks has been serving the best of the best since opening the Kirby location 36 years ago.
According to Gayot’s review, “the lines are worth it for the blue cheese burger, a half-pound of ground chuck, blue cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato on a sesame seed egg bun; add bacon for one awesome burger.” We couldn’t agree more and are running out the door to grab one for ourselves!
While Becks Prime is very well known for their burgers, we feel it’s also important to point out other unexpected standouts on the menu. For those who are looking to eat a little healthier this summer, try the Ahi Tuna Sandwich (Asian Spread, feta, cucumber, red onion, and tomato) and Spicy Tuna Sandwich (Asian Spread, Sriracha, red onion, fresh jalapeno, cucumber, and cilantro) – both are insanely good and always perfectly seared. Additionally, the Queen of Hearts Salad is served with hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, bell peppers, green olives, tomatoes, egg, and vinaigrette. Becks Prime also offers heart-healthy and keto-friendly plates filled with protein and veggies – there really is something for everyone!
Check out one of Becks Prime’s 11 Houston-area (and Dallas) locations all over town including the Heights, Augusta, Katy, Kirby, Memorial Park, Dairy Ashford, Meyerland, Sugar Land, Wilcrest, and the Woodlands. Our favorite is Memorial Park – such a nice treat while watching golfers after a walk around the beautiful Eastern Glades!
Joining Becks Prime on the list are Burger Joint in New York, Cherry Cricket in Denver, Farm Burger in Georgia, 4505 Burgers & BBQ in San Francisco, Holsteins Shakes and Buns in Las Vegas, Kuma’s Corner in Chicago, MELT Gourmet Cheeseburgers in Virginia, Mr. Bartley’s Burger Cottage in Cambridge, and 25 Degrees in Hollywood.
