When I was in Europe recently, as always, I combed retail for the newest trends. I must admit that I am first to check out shoes as I’m a firm believer in the quickest way to update your wardrobe is through accessories and that the newest footwear is a sure bet. As a die-hard stiletto lover, I was not enamored with the look at first and thought to myself that possibly it was a trend for Europe’s fashion set as we all know that the cobblestone streets across the pond, while charming, do not make stiletto wearing an every day occurrence over there. However, when I returned and visited my go-to retailers here in H-town, such as Neiman Marcus, Tootsies and other fashion savvy spots, they were here too!! Yes, block heels were not merely a comfy response to cobblestone streets but a chic and comfy answer from most designers for American women as well.
So, as we plan how we want to walk out of summer and into fall, a must is the newest footwear! Right now, its all about the block heel!
