Looks like our friend, Nancy Meyers, did it again…..another blockbuster hit . “The Intern” is hitting the screens (including Houston) this week and for me this is one that is especially near and dear to my heart!
Even if I didn’t know Nancy Meyers personally I would be a fan of her movies anyway……I love her writing, her style (I always just want to move into one of her many well-decorated homes) link here to One King’s Lane and you too can purchase many of the items from Nancy’s film as she worked closely with the OKL peeps on the finest products. Also, just the modern approach she takes to life and to women, especially, will always make me a fan. However, doing what I do, “The Intern” is a film that hits home for me in many ways. I can related to the Anne Hathaway character and her online fashion business and though not quite DeNiro’s age, I get it when technology appears to be a thing for the young and learning what the next big social media craze is number one on my homework list. After all, it has to be done to stay current and relevant in this industry, right?
It must be said that I have not seen the movie, will do so this weekend but already know enough to know it’s going to now become my newest favorite Nancy Meyers film, along with “It’s Complicated”, “What Women Wants”, “The Holiday” and many others that are regulars on my Amazon Prime!
Because Nancy has been close to our family for years and we have always felt so proud of her accomplishments, my NYC family was there in mass to support her. Here are a few photos from the evening and all of its festivities……
