One of my favorite looks of the evening, Naeem Khan’s collection of embroidered black & white styles were spectacular, with this pant ensemble at the top of the list.
To see Naeem Khan in Houston feels like a visit from a very familiar face, as this designer has been to our town quite a few times. He is most definitely a favorite of our local social set and a TOOTSIES regular special guest. However, this was his first visit to Fashion Houston and as the closer for Wednesday night had the fashion crowd cheering. The man, whose clothes have always had a “red carpet” appeal for so many has had a great presence at many of H-town’s biggest galas and Houston women love him!
The biggest news from Mr. Khan’s appearance here was the introduction, which we saw at September NYFW, of his sporty collection. The man who is best known for his glam gowns and lots of embellishments has taken that look to bedazzled sweat pants and sheer-paneled sweatshirts. After all, who doesn’t need a great pair of black sequined sweat pants when sitting court side for a Rockets game?! The newness was definitely with the sportswear but the glam was no less than spectacular for the many evening gowns that he ran down the catwalk, one more special than the next.
