Francene also went to the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 Bridal Launch at Joan Pillow on Thursday night, and what a beautiful evening it was! Keep reading for all the details.
What happens when you take a hopeless romantic gal who loves love and the idea of soul mates saying their vows to one another and throw her in a room filled with the most beautiful bridal dresses and accessories she has ever seen? I’ll tell you what, spending hours after expressing and justifying all the reasons why her and her husband should renew their vows despite being married just over a year, just so she can have an excuse to wear one of these pieces of art.
The girl was me (Francene)! The My Red Glasses girls were out again this week, but this time kindly invited to Joan Pillow’s Monique Lhuillier Spring Collection 2016 Launch and Trunk Show. How could we resist?
The event was eloquently put together, delicious crisp white wine was served with h’orderves from Up! Restaurant along with fresh pastel flowers displayed on the tables.
The magnificent simplistic store looked amazing. It is somewhere I could easily go to relax with my girlfriends and try on magical dresses that make me feel good, and isn’t that the whole point to this experience? They have areas where you can enjoy as much or as little privacy as desired. They have large changing rooms (if you have worn a wedding dress before you will know the lack of room you find around you have once you have the dress on..!!) and then mirrors all around with a podium in the middle so you can fully see the end result of how stunning you look in the chosen dress!
I had the pleasure of spending some time with Joan who showed me the Monique Lhuillier spring collection. I loved hearing how passionate she is for the designs and dresses and the fact she personally hand picks the dresses for her stores after seeing them float gracefully down the runways.
25 years ago Joan decided to open up her first bridal salon in Atlanta which has grown in popularity, luxury and exclusivity over the years. After seeing a gap in the market here in Houston, she decided her next venture would be to open store number 2! She splits her time between here and Atlanta with her husband Jon.
Joan had models kindly display some of the collection. How would I describe this collection? Effortless pieces capturing femininity, simplistic beauty and glamour. These truly are fairytale dresses to wear down the aisle. If you are newly engaged and planning your wedding, please take some time to visit Joan. I have every faith she will help you find your dream dress.
