Newest place to buy your ever-so-chic and totally cozy warm outerwear is at Moncler’s first Houston free-standing store in River Oaks District…..open this week!
For those of you that may not be familiar with this wonderfully luxurious Italian made outerwear collection, it is one of my favorite items to include in my February NYFW wardrobe. I must say that I thought because I owned a cashmere coat and a fur that when I went to NYC in those cold months to see my bro’ Steve at the Cafe Carlyle in December or schlep around the city for NYFW I would be fine. It was not until I stayed at my friend, Betty Newton’s fab NYC apartment that she happened to casually mention, “if you’re really freezing, put on one of my Moncler coats and you will see a huge difference and be totally warm”. Well, she was so right on…..I couldn’t believe the difference and I was hooked forever.
This collection, originally founded in 1952, was designed and produced originally in Grenoble, France but is now located in Italy. It was in 2003 that Remo Ruffini took over as Chairman and CEO. It is known for the ability to merge style with ongoing technological research to create the perfect product. It merges extreme needs with day-to-day city life, creating a collection that is not just functionable but looks great at the same time. As you see their more current collection on their website and in their stores, they are working also into the sportswear arena with their styling.
