Mindy Lam, Fine Jewelry Designer and a popular Houston favorite will be visiting our city again this week when she appears at the Museum Shop for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s bi-annual Florescence Floral Event. It’s always such a lovely event that literally sets the MFA in bloom. Mindy’s floral jewelry pieces are a highlight within the event. Lam’s sensitivity to nature and her floral inspiration come from growing up in China…..a land of roses, peonies, orchids and camelias. A native of Hong Kong, she came to the United States in the 1990’s. Like the limitless boundaries found in nature, Lam sees infinite possibilities for creating unique jewelry designs that promise to be classics. The collection is stunning with one piece more outstanding and unique than the other.
This season she is introducing her first ever Haute Couture Clutch Collection featuring her 14kt gold-filled metal lace and beautiful semi-precius gems. The Art of the Clutch by Mindy Lam will be available to shop during Florescence.

The following are a sampling of some of the breathtaking pieces which you will have the opportunity to see live this week as well the opportunity to visit with the charming Mindy Lam, herself, who is as interesting to chat with as her beautiful creations……..
About Mindy Lam: A Hong Kong native, she is a couture jewelry designer who weaves various metal laces with Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones and other precious metals to create amazingly unique pieces. Her work reflects the craftsmanship of the classic couture houses of old, but with a refreshingly modern edge through the fusion of her signature florals and metals. The collection can be seen on the Red Carpet as a statement piece for young starlets and veteran fashionistas, to custom pieces for entertainers for the stage. She also does bridal, home and event decor. To see more of Mindy’s awesome designs, treat yourself and visit her website, www.mindylamcouture.com
Designing for over 15 years, Lam was a huge favorite at Henri Bendel in NYC for almost 10 years and has been featured in Elle, Brides Magaine, Glamour, People and Vogue Italia among others. Her charitable involvement includes a charity near and dear to me which is where I first became aware of her talents….the American Heart Association. She also has contributed to Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Hospital and many more.
