‘Tis the season to add some hops to your holiday spirit! On Saturday, December 1, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens invites you to a festive afternoon at Holiday Brews on the Bayou!
A festive holiday tradition returns to Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens – Holiday Brews on the Bayou! Visitors can add some beer-filled cheer to their holiday spirit, sampling seasonal beers while enjoying live music from the Richard Brown Trio. The jazzy tunes and hoppy refreshments will be enjoyed beneath an impressive see-through tent in the Diana Gardens. Joined by Bob Luna on vocals, the group’s jazzy sounds will feature music selections from the Great American Songbook.
The tasting is $35 per person and includes admission to the 14-acre gardens and historic mansion, as well as complimentary parking. Purchase advance tickets online at www.mfah.org/brews. Capacity is limited, so buy them fast!
Tastings will be offered from select craft breweries, including local favorites such as Saint Arnold‘s, Karbach, 8th Wonder, and No Label. There will also be tasty tastings from national brewing powerhouses: Bells, Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Breckenridge, Elysian, Rahr, Cyclers, and Celis.

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens—Houston’s home for America’s treasures—is the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts and paintings. The objects are displayed in the home of legendary philanthropist and collector Ima Hogg (1882–1975), who gave her estate to the MFAH in 1957. More than 20 rooms showcase the evolution of American style and taste from 1620 to 1876. The mansion is situated on 14 acres of formal gardens and lush woodlands. Bayou Bend is open year-round to visitors and offers a variety of programs for children, families, and adults.
