Meghan Markle’s Kickoff
Meghan Markle can now add another title to her royal resume…fashion designer! The start of London Fashion Week kicked off with The Duchess of Sussex releasing her very own capsule collection. Working with Smart Works Charity, Markle and designers have made The Smart Set, a workforce-ready line that encourages women supporting women. The collection and charity work together by way of a buy-one-give-one business model.
“And you may not ever meet that person, but you’ll know when you put on that blazer or that shirt or you carry that tote or you put on those trousers or that dress, that some other woman on the other side of this country is wearing that piece because you made that purchase.”

Victoria Beckham
Each season, we find ourselves just as excited to see Victoria Beckham’s newest collection at London Fashion Week as we our to see who has scored themselves a front row seat! One of MRG’s favorite family of fashion, the Beckham clan never fails to be VB’s biggest supporters! Beckham stuck true to her classic style for her Spring/Summer 2020 collection, which also happens to be her 10th Anniversary as a designer. Effortlessly chic as always, the collection was filled with neutral staples, with eye-catching pops of color sprinkled throughout. Silky fabrics and flowy, ankle-length silhouettes floated down the runway alongside tailored, structured suits. The two styles mixed together to re-create the powerful-yet-dreamy days of the 70’s. This collection was clear that Posh still has one major thing from her Spice Girls days on her mind…Girl Power!
Burberry
Cunning cutting, dreamy draping, tantalizing textures. Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection had all a girl could ask for and more! The brands creative director, Ricardo Tisci, brought a little of his classic Italian design to London Fashion Week! He knows the perfect amount of sexy and sleek to mix together to deliver us the chicest runways we could ever imagine. But don’t worry, he still stays true to the heritage of the iconic british brand. Feathers walked down the runway after fringe floated by folowing delicate lace. It takes a true artisan to make a collection full of neutrals, and still have each piece be as memorable as the next…and Tisci has more than done that!
Erdem
Watching the Erdem Spring/Summer 2020 show was like stepping into a time machine and ending up in a prairie-land daydream. One look after the other flouncing down the runway could only be summed up with one word…mesmerizing! Hot hues balanced the feminine floral patterns, keeping the collection fresh and modern. The collection was inspired by images of Tina Modotti, a woman of many talents- photographer, model, actress and (arguable most notably) political activist. Erdem fused the shapes and designs of Modotti’s fashions with the vibrancy of colors found in Mexico City, where Erdem had recently vacationed. This marriage of past and present, person and city, made for a whimsical show that will live on in our daydreams forever!
