One of the World’s Finest Lingerie Makers, La Perla is Now Open in The Galleria

It’s Francene here again! This week I had the absolute pleasure of trotting down to The Galleria and visiting the new, to Houston and first in Texas, fine lingerie boutique everyone is talking about!

The new La Perla boutique opened just a couple of weeks ago, featuring a new concept designed by Italian architect Robert Baciocchi. The boutique is decorated in a harmonious palette with white walls and purple carpet, paneling and fitting room curtains. The La Perla boutique in Houston is dedicated to the full range of women’s and accessories collections displayed in transparent cases with gilded metal hangers or presented to customers on velvet-lined trays.

After gazing round the beautifully laid out store, surrounded by the most stunning lingerie I have ever seen I wondered to myself ‘Who is the La Perla Gal?’

From their newest look book she is Glamorous, Contemporary, Sensual, Charming, Feminine, Charismatic and Radiant. Of course I’m sure we all can, depending on our moods, incorporate some, one or even all of the above descriptions. However, how many items in your closet can you pick out and make you feel all the above?

I have certainly never had this feeling, until I tried on their Shape-Allure Black dress (okay it’s maybe not a dress but shape wear that you could totally get away with wearing on the outside) and yes, I turned around, looked in the mirrored aisle thought I’ve found my dream dress. It gave me shape, held me in all the right places; it was beautiful, a classic and on its own or under a dress I feel hot! I’m sure you can tell how much I wanted it! Isn’t this what the perfect lingerie is about? Giving you that confidence boost of feeling sexy and confident when you need it? I know Audrey will agree while she was wearing the Reminiscence Short tasseled dress which she looked every inch a model in.

I loved their ideas of incorporating lingerie in our outfits not just for the bedroom or for under our clothes but showing them off in other ways such as under a signature blazer, either their black or white. The lace peeking out just visible enough to be a subtle distraction or with their lace collection of slim leggings, body suits and even hooded jumpers, using pieces more creatively. La Perla actually owns the patent for their lace designs seen on these items, so unique and it won’t be found anywhere else.

La Perla swim wear collection is exquisite. Striped designs using sheer material mix up the usual ordinary bikinis or suits while assisting your assets and showing off your figure. The choice of colours ooze sophistication. These are by far my favorite pieces from the store.

 

It wouldn’t be a true article from me if I didn’t mention their shoe collection. Yes I noticed their Red slip heels as soon as I walked into the store. With the strap they elongate your leg, showing them off. Pair these with your underwear of choice in the same or contrasting colour to bring the whole outfit together.

From slips, to heels, to thongs to bikinis to bodysuits La Perla really is the dream store! I truly believe we should all own pieces of clothing that give us this feeling, but us ladies should also have a collection of gorgeous bras and panties for all occasions. It’s worth the extra money to ensure quality and wear.
