The first fashion week since the world lost an icon, Karl Lagerfeld. With Milan being his home with Fendi, Milan Fashion Week 2019 was one giant tribute to the late legend.
Milan Fashion Week 2019 was full of style, showbiz and sex-appeal, but the most notable of all was the sentiments to the late Karl Lagerfeld. With this being the first week of shows since his passing, his memory hung heavy in the Italian air. His own house for 54 years, Fendi, paid homage to him in more ways than one for the showing of his final collection.
At the Fendi show, each model strutted down the runway rocking low ponytails, a look made eponymous by Karl Lagerfeld. The elegant swirl styled at the front of the hair was a nod to the 1930’s, the decade Lagerfeld was born and the start of his legendary life.
While Fendi brought the feelings, other designers on the block brought fierce looks and statement making runways that left us all drooling! If you want an even deeper look into each of our favorite collections, click on the link below each description!

Versace
” The Versace Milan Fashion Week 2019 runway looks pay tribute to Versace’s storied relationship with fashion photography, featuring portraits of @donatella_versace by Richard Avedon. The dichotomy of luxury and grunge is present on the runway: rich leathers and faux furs are paired with intentionally destroyed knits adorned with signature Safety Pins.”
