Many of you already know about ALL of the talent that we boast of in Houston. Well, a sampling of our own H-town stars participated in NYFW and we were happy to be there to support each of them.

Elaine Turner kicked off Fashion Week with a party that brought together many Texans, New Yorkers as well as various media, bloggers, customers and followers at her Madison Avenue boutique in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Amir Taghi Debuts His First Collection at NYFW
Amir Taghi, Houston Episcopal High School student, straight from studying at Central St. Martins in London, started his Senior Year with a NYFW debut amidst the support of many family and high school buddies in NYC for his show. The collection showed a more edgy side of Amir and featured a soft palette of lilac, silver and grey with a bold splash of fuchsia in a pantsuit. Lots of sleek styling and back interest detailing.

Cesar Galindo, Houston Native, Shows His Newest Collection in NYFW
Cesar Galindo, a Houston native, now a New York resident showed his newest collection in his unique informal walk-around where you could browse the collection, watch the sketch artists fascinate us all with their sketching of the collection and media buzzing around snapping free style photos. Cesar had a travel frame of mind with this collection….he takes you away through tropical prints, crop tops, hot colors and packable jersey dresses.
