Summer’s unquestionable trend across all silhouettes that have been the number one look on the street has been the baring of shoulders…..a great way to show skin that is feminine, sexy, tasteful and so stylish! It is proving to be a look for all seasons. Shown above a summer version with white jeans that transitions well into early Fall with just the change of a bottom.
One of my fave looks for years back has always been “off-the-shoulder” in all silhouettes. Not new to me, however this season it has been the hottest trend around for all, thanks mostly to contemporary designer Amy Smilovic from Tibi who has featured the best of the best! Her top which I own in a couple of versions and plan to buy for Fall has been the most photographed and sought after top online and in stores. Every blogger, for sure, has sported her version but there are others out there, which our images below illustrate.
As summer has gone by, Shoulders that were meant to be Shrugged were a dominant fashion look that would take you from the beach to the bar/dinner at night!

Pair it with jeans, a midi skirt or looks great as a dress neckline silhouette for day or for evening.

The fashion world is calling these tops and dresses, Cold Shoulder, which many of us associate with Donna Karan and her infamous dress silhouette that was designed to cover the chest and sleeves and only bare the shoulder. Whichever, you want to call it, the point is that for most women, their shoulders are one of their best features and this enhancement makes for a sexy, feminine look that they can wear multiple ways and still never fail to get noticed!

Tibi by Amy Smilovic
To show that this look has legs beyond summer, Tibi has come out with transitional styles in transitional colors and fabrics that are in stores like Neiman Marcus right now or online at Tibi.com that will take you from the warm sultry days and nights to a great stand-out top or dress for early Fall. (in Texas we can wear this top in these Fall-weight fabrics for several months to come)
