As iconic designers of high end fashion shoes go, there are few more famous than Jimmy Choo and Ugg® Australia. Having said that, I was quite taken aback when it was announced at a Jimmy Choo store party that these two unlikely brands from two ends of the shoe spectrum had come together to create a hybrid of comfortable, luxurious footwear. The collection is based on iconic UGG boot construction with design details that embody the spirit of Jimmy Choo.
How did this all come about? Tamara Mellon, Co-founder and President of Jimmy Choo says; “Other than Jimmy Choo, Ugg Australia is really the only other footwear I have in my wardrobe. I wear it at home in New York, on holiday in Malibu and as an essential travel accessory for my plane wardrobe.” Don’t we all wear our UGGs that way?!
UGG has been one of the top trends to surface in this decade and this shot of new spirit can only raise it’s relevancy to new heights because let’s face it, we all own them, live in them and are searching madly for a new reason to buy more…..well, here you have it but you have to shop quickly as the quantities are limited and can only be found at Jimmy Choo and UGG® Australia stores (only a Jimmy Choo store in Houston). They can also be found at Saks Fifth Ave and Nordstrom as well.
