Pants For Summer Best Comfy and Wide

Ladies, ditch the skinnies for a bit (hallelujah) and bring on the wide leg pants! This is personally one of my favorite trends for Spring/Summer and one that I recently fell in love with after a spur of the moment online purchase. That one purchase has now turned into 5 pairs of wide leg pants! I digress.

It’s Alyssa here and I am talking all things wide leg pants. Though wide leg pants aren’t a new trend, we’re seeing such a resurgence of 70s fashion and this trend is no exception. The “newness” of the trend however are the cropped hems, paper bag waists, sailor buttons and ultra high waisted styles.

Personally, I think wide leg pants can be uber flattering and look tailored no matter how you style them. The trend is perfect for work when paired with a tucked in blouse, but can also easily be a casual look with a t-shirt and sneakers. My all time favorite wide leg pant look is white, cropped denim paired with a chunky slide this season or a fun fashion sneaker. Tip- If you are petite, I recommend pairing wide leg pants with a heel or wedge so that they don’t swallow you up. Also, remember the most flattering area of a woman’s leg is that slimming area about 3″ above the ankle…….if you aim for that length in a soft wide leg, you will be most at ease with your style.
