You see, you Moms now have an ultra chic and I might add, friendly place to visit……Julie Rhodes Fashion & Home Boutique has opened its doors right across the street on Edloe where those of us that know our “hood” have spent endless boring hours. Well, the boring times are over. Step into Julie Rhodes boutique where you will find, high quality apparel from names you know, jewelry that you will die for and many fun, decorative home items, such as candles, decorative pillow and even furniture that can be customized to fit right in with your home decor.

About Julie: A graduate of Parsons School of Design, she went on to be a buyer for Christian Dior and a market researcher for the world’s leading trend forecasting agency,WGSN (used by Buyers, world wide and Fashion Directors as I was in my former life). Julie’s unique aesthetic reflects a casual elegance that is influenced by her French upbringing and her experience living in Cape Town and New York City. She travels extensively to seek out the best, up-and-coming designers from across the U.S. and Europe, bringing Houston fresh and exciting fashion both in apparel and home.
Fashion apparel is a collection of lines, many of which are exclusive to Houston and/or to her store.
In Home Furnishings, some lines exclusive to Julie and fabric libraries will allow shoppers to customize and order furniture pieces on display. Exclusive apparel collections will include Nonoo NY, OBakki, as well as jewelry from Lulu Frost and Taylor & Tessier. Other hot designers around that will be in her boutique are Catherine Malandrino, Issa of London (a Kate Middleton favorite) and Rebecca Taylor, one of the designers showing at Fashion Houston. Our own town’s David Peck will be making exclusive pieces exclusively for Julie’s store.
Candle selection was superb, many of my favorites….
Giftable items such as candles, picture frames, children’s gifts such as the popular “blah-blah dolls” are all great last minute gifts for many of the West U. Moms to pick up as they wait patiently for their children or in dire need of a last minute teacher present. As a future customer of Julie Rhodes Fashion & Home that does not have the West U. Elementary blues, I live close enough in the Museum, Medical Center, Rice U. area that having a very cool store this close by will be certainly a treat.
