Hours before heading out of Houston for NYFW, I stopped by J. Silver Jewelry Store in Rice Village for a kick-off of a collection that had been well established in that store for four years but was new to me. It’s name Uno de 50, a Spanish brand that was founded 15 years ago and takes its name from a desire by its creators to produce only limited edition collections. This Rice Village landmark, J. Silver, has become the top retailer for this brand in the U.S. For the kick-off party hosted by owner Jay Landa, the special guest was the dashing former male model and charming son of its founder, David Azulay. David who has become the Brand Ambassador now lives in Miami where he can oversee U.S. operations and sales.
About Uno de 50: This collection takes its inspiration from contemporary life and the everyday details of the natural world. The group of creative artists that produce this product in Spain, show a sign of their appreciation for uniqueness, quality and style at prices that range from $80 to $300 retail.
This affordable luxury collection makes layering of many styles and pieces a fashion-must-do and because all pieces can play off one another, a true collection can be achieved by the wearer by simply adding from season to season.
