True Food Kitchen, Fox Restaurant Concepts first Houston outpost, recently opened at Phase II of BLVD Place with a menu dedicated to simple, seasonal fare that brings a healthy, holistic dining experience to Galleria and Uptown Diners.

About My Personal Experience…

Having been there for a tasting and knowing nothing about the restaurant, it was an immediate love affair for both myself and my daughter, Crystin, as we tried so many wonderfully tasty treats from the avocado and kale guacamole, the Vegetable Crudite, the spicy shrimp n noodles and my all-time favorite, Chia pudding and refreshing Cucumber & Lemonade drink.  We were in heaven…plus the funny thing was that after posting some of these dishes on Instagram that evening, I got countless comments on all of the wonderful dishes that I didn’t try, as this Fox Restaurant, new to Houston has been in Dallas for awhile!

True Food Kitchen offers globally inspired cuisine including starters, salads, entrees and fresh squeezed juices, based on renowned Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet that aims to counteract chronic inflammation and help people achieve and maintain optimum health. Menus are tailored to specific dietary restrictions and allergies. Large selection of vegan, gluten-free and paleo selections.  The full bar serves sustainable, organic and bio-dynamic wines, local craft beers and cocktails made from fresh fruit, honey and other natural flavorings.

In addition to its healthy dining efforts, TFK also strives to be an eco-friendly restaurant. Each locations uses compostable take-out packaging and menus printed on paper from renewable resources. Dining room features chairs made from recycled plastic soda bottles and reclaimed wood floors.

The TFK menu draws from Mediterranean, Asian and traditional American flavors and features a diverse selection of dishes from pizza to tacos. The menu will rotate seasonally, taking advantage of seasonal ingredients that provide great tasting dishes that do not require butter, salts or fat for flavor.

Hours of Operation….the details

Restaurant open Monday thru Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 pm. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Brunch served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
