Silver Metallic Queen Anne’s Lace Printed Dupioni Separates
When Tory Burch launches her collections at New York Fashion Week, it is always a treat to see where she will do it and what specific theme she is going for. This season was no exception as she chose one of my favorite eras in American fashion…..the 60’s and the place, the French Riviera.
Her inspiration was taken from the easy glamour of that time and place as she envisioned it through watching Romy Schneider’s character in La Piscine. She combined all the beauty of that locale with many of its natural elements…botanicals, lattice, queen anne’s lace, garden elements and folly prints. She teamed it up with cleaner silhouettes and proportions in a fresh palette of white, green and coral. The result was a refined Spring illusion of days past.
The following are some of my highlights from Spring 2014…
Embroidered Botanical Print Cotton Ottoman Dress, Top, and Pants
White Lattice Blouse, Lattice Cut Out Jacket, Pleated Cotton Ottoman Shorts, and Laser Cut Dress with Jacket
Crochet and Silk Dress and Crochet Top with Crochet and Silk Skirt
Coral Block Print Floral Dupioni Dress and Fringe Shadow Print Cotton Top and Pleated Block Print Floral Dupioni Skirt
Beaded Linen Burlap Jacket, Dupioni Top, Linen Burlap Pant, Dupioni Dress, Jeweled and Beaded Applique Linen Burlap Dress
