Everyone loves to receive that Tiffany Blue Box for the Holiday or anytime. This year that box could be filled with something new from America’s premier jeweler. Tiffany’s has proven to all of us that it is America’s Jewelry store, but it has now expanded it’s offerings to include an elegant and high-styled handbag and accessories collection introduced last year in a handful of select stores and to the Houston market this past week through a personal appearance in the Galleria store of their popular Design Directors themselves.
In launching this new design addition for Tiffany’s, they appropriately reached out to two craftsmen, Richard Lambertson and John Truex, formerly of Lambertson and Truex, as their design directors, who have pulled from their vast experience and knowledge to create this collaboration of an exquisite timeless collection.
Their Fall 2011 collection, exclusively for Tiffany’s, says Richard Lambertson, “provides the pivotal handbags that reflect an urban influence on fashion and a preference for more tailored, clean-lined silhouettes.”

Featured is the new Genevieve satchel, a standout of classic sophistication in light walnut ostrich and choices of beautifully rich colorations. They’d also taken a softer approach to the structured bags by providing the Tiffany Reversible Tote in burgundy, pesto, light walnut and signature Tiffany Blue. All of these bags completely reverse out to appropriate shades of metallic from bronze to silver.
These bags are truly wear-with-everything designs (from modern skirts/dresses to jeans for more casual wear) and are priced well, with the smaller size retailing for $395 and the larger at $595.

The Tiffany clutches make great versatile additions to any outfit. The Vivian clutch, which I was drawn to in navy (my favorite complement to black), onyx or burgundy Napa leather is studded with silver beads or pleated and is completed with a large bead closure. The Morgan clutch is available in a popular animal print haircalf and my personal favorite was the adorably chic Bracelet bag in Bordeaux velvet with metal beaded handle, a stylish dress-up compliment for any chic cocktail LBD or long gown.

The finishings on all of the bag’s collection are exquisite and show L & T’s eye for all of the small details that matter most…fine hardware, leather lining, all with touches of signature Tiffany Blue. All bags are lined in that famous blue color and in fact, the guys say that most bags, which are available in Tiffany Blue, are many times their most popular sellers. That color is carried into their Small Leather Goods collection of wallets, coin purses, etc. and can be found as one of the color selections in another fave of mine, their luxurious opera length gloves (gloves can only be purchased online, not available in the stores).
As a hint of what’s to come for Spring 2012, Richard and John spoke enthusiastically about their use of bold colors such as Citrine, Tangerine, and of course Tiffany Blue to make for lots of clear citrus-inspired color and excitement for the consumer.
The Tiffany Leather Collection ranges in price from $50 to $17,500 and is available in select Tiffany stores worldwide. The plan for now is that they are in approximately 35 of the 200+ Tiffany’s so we are very pleased to have them here in Texas at our Houston and Dallas locations. You must stop in to view the collection in its entirety in its very own boutique within the store….and select a perfect holiday gift for that woman who has everything as this new collection is certain to be a great addition. (Ooops, I didn’t mention that the guys should not feel left out. There are select styles available for you as well)!
