There is so much excitement and fashion happening in the Home these days that you can count on seeing more postings that will relate to this theme from us. I personally am partial to blue as it was the primary color family when Alan and I married a few decades ago and I have much of it and have loved the warmth and versatility it has brought to my home. I am thrilled to see it surfacing back in dominance in home decor this year and love how it can take on many personalities….from traditional/classic to transitional to modern.
When inquiring to an industry professional as to what has made “the blues” so popular again, I was told that the timing is right for what is going on in Home Furnishings today. Neutrals, particularly Grey have ruled and Navy and the Blues are a wonderful compliment to Grey. Nothing is chic-er than a beautiful Navy couch, grey walls and pops of the season’s hottest colors, orange and yellow, to make it all pop and look modern. Also, it works well with all of the metal finishes such as stainless and nickel that are becoming very, very popular in modern/transitional decor.
I’m thrilled and love all colors of blue in my home……hope you agree and are inspired by some of the photos that have inspired us and contribute to creating our House of Blues…
