The shoe salon of Saks Fifth Avenue was the venue, Wednesday, November 20 as the portraits for the 2014 ABC-13’s Women of Distinction presented by Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Greater Houston were unveiled to the former honorees of the event. There was a lot of conversation and oohing and aahing as the guests viewed the photos by Gittings that captured each personality.
Denise Monteleone and Franelle Rogers, chairmen of the January 25, 2014, Italian themed Winter Ball,Carnevale di Venezia, where the Women of Distinction will be formally presented, visited with the stylish crowd. The gala benefits the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. Honorary Chairmen Betty Tutor and La Patronessa Straordinaria, Rosanette Cullen mingled too. Several ladies were looking for the perfect shoes for the event.
The 2014 honorees— Jane-Page Crump, Winell Herron, Penny Loyd, Joella Mach, Bobbie Nau, Roz Pactor, Rachel Regan, Lisa Simon, Nancy Strohmer and Beth Wolff and Beth Madison, Women of Distinction Ambassador were all introduced and applauded by the crowd.
Other notables in the crowd were: Saks store GM Bobby Dees, Philamena Baird, Susan Boggio, Patti Murphy, Franci Willis, Diane Gendel, Merele Yarborough, Ann Carl, Diedra Fontaine, Mary Ann McKeithan and Danielle Ellis.
