Saks Fifth Avenue hosted the Kick Off party for the upcoming Passion for Fashion luncheon in the shoe department, always a favorite spot, where guests mingled and discussed holiday plans. Luncheon co-chair Mary Ann McKeithan greeted the well-heeled crowd solo, as compadre Kelli Cohen Fein was under the weather. McKeithan gave a preview of the March 12, 2014 event at the River Oaks Country Club featuring a fashion presentation and appearance by designer Zang Toi, known for his glamour and dramatic designs for many of the social set. Special thanks went to store general manager Bobby Dees for Saks’ support. The luncheon proceeds benefit the Fashion and Interior Design programs at Houston Community College. Phoebe Tudor will receive the 2014 HCC Design Society Fashion Icon Award.
Seen in the crowd: Dr. Bill Harmon, president of HCC Central, Kay King, founder of the HCC Fashion Program, Suzette Brimmer, division chair for HCC Lifestyle Arts & Design Careers, Bobby Tudor, Judith Oudt, Renee Byas, HCC acting chancellor, Jerry Ann and Victor Costa, Mary Williams, chair of HCC’s Opportunity Ball, Roz Pactor, Nancy and Hans Strohmer and Leisa Holland Nelson.
