In anticipation of the upcoming Monday (10/22) night party and performance of R&B Icon, Gladys Knight, for all Music With Friends Members and since I have been out of the country for a couple of weeks, I didn’t want to miss out on sharing with all, the awesome celebration party the MWF’s hosted most recently for the Mavericks performance for MWF. I’m thinking that if you could see what a great time we all had at this inaugural event at their new venue you may just want to join us. About MWF and The Mavericks….
The 25th of September has now become a historical date for the Music With Friends Houston members. It is the day that they had their very first show, The Mavericks, performance at the newly built venue, The Jeanette and L.M. George Theater. The show which was presented by this legendary band that many of us were unfamiliar with going into the evening but trusted our hosts entirely when they claimed it would be a fun and memorable performance. It happened, we were mesmerized by the amazing group of guys. They had us all hooked and up and dancing almost from the beginning of the concert. When the Mavericks bolted out their signature songs….”All You Ever Do is Bring Me Down”, “Dance the Night Away” and more including some cover songs from the Beach Boys and Linda Rondstadt, everyone was so into it that they were singing along and dancing to the tunes.
Pre and Post Show Parties…..
At the pre-show party the members feasted on delish bites from Cordua Catering and Brennans of Houston along with tequila spirits from Pura Vida. The post-performance was great fun as the members enjoyed time with the band members that joined in the party and made for lots of photo-taking with all.
