A cult favorite in the West U area, Molina’s Cantina is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Our family has always LOVED Molina’s, Houston’s oldest family owned and operated Tex-Mex restaurant, so this is a special occasion for our family and our many friends that worried so when it moved away from our beloved Buffalo Speedway location. Where would we go for our “José Dip”…..well lucky for all of us, it did not go far away and we’re thrilled to help them celebrate this great anniversary of their many years in business!
Molina’s is celebrating with a week long fiesta, September 11th-17th. “This is our opportunity to thank those who have supported us over the years – our guests, our staff, and our vendors – who truly are our extended family,” says Ricardo Molina.

The celebration kicks off on Sunday, September 11th, and throughout the entire week, a random 75 minutes each day, Molina’s will offer 75% off a signature 1941 Tex-Mex menu item. There will also be complimentary 75th anniversary koozies, margarita shakers, tequila tastings, and additional food and drink specials.

On the 17th, the celebration will culminate with fiestas at all three locations (think mariachi bands, complimentary appetizers, drink specials, prizes, and much more).
Finally, Molina’s wants everyone sharing their memories. The ‘My Molina’s Memory Contest’ will be taking place for the entire month. All you have to do is tag @molinascantina on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, along with the hashtag #mymolinasmemory between now and 9/30 for a chance to win a gift card to Molina’s.
Happy Anniversary, Molina’s!
