Native Texan and an always favorite of many locals, not least of which is myself, Lela Rose, can always be counted on for beautiful dresses and just great style in all of her pieces. This season was no exception. Inspiration for the designer for the coming Fall season was a nod to American West, specifically Wyoming, a vacation spot that she frequents often. It can be quietly seen in her elongated and flowey printed silks, as well as her feather and fringe motifs and metallic pleats. All of this done in the signature Lela Rose way….in signature shapes of fit and flare dresses, cropped tops and a-line skirts, with addition of a few more pant looks for Fall.
The color palette for this season was primarily black, ivory and steel infused with softer hues including pale turquoise, lilac and magenta.
Reminder that Lela Rose’ Spring collection, shown in this MRG feature story, was one of my very favorites of Spring NYFW and should be hitting the stores locally that carry her collection, namely Neiman Marcus and Tootsies. Please check it out, it was stunning, and many of those pieces have also remained forefront in my mind…..I can’t wait to shop!
