Best Actress Nominee Jessica Biel stepping out with hubby Justin Timberlake, won my vote as my favorite dress of the evening. Her Ralph and Russo gown was a difficult decision among favorites, but I love the growing popularity of WHITE for evening and the details that made it sensational.
Even during a rather lackluster telecast last evening, whose highlight was the proposal on the Emmy stage, of winner, Glenn Weiss to girlfriend, Jan Svendsen, the Emmy’s had some high moments within the Fashion Red Carpet scene. Overall trends of the evening for me centered around COLOR.…traditional evening color ideas such as the dominance of black and the tons of sparkles that are usually present for such glam events were barely there last night. The bigger story was color and the family of color that won the evening was in the Red/Pink family with lots of shades galore within each and also my personal favorite, White. Silhouettes were all across the board last evening but the dominance seemed to come from the dramatic gowns on the carpet. However for me, as always I favored the sleeker, more refined and close to the body gowns.
