Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend….but this season’s there’s so much more!
Being a long time retailer in my past life, I know that the two areas of a store that has the most holiday buzz going on about now are Cosmetics and Accessories. We’ve given you some of our suggestions on the newness in Beauty and now we set out to find all of the glam trinkets that gals will want in their stockings or under the tree this Holiday!
However, in doing my hunt for the best of the best in chic accessories, I found Jewelry, in particular was reaching out to me. There are so many new designers, many of which are local and so much creativity going on in the different elements being used from metal varieties to many different gemstones and rare pearls, from fashion to designer to finest jewels. I must say I have always been a baubles girl, but I am truly smitten this year as you will see from some of our selections below.
There are designers to know such as Katie Designs, Ashley Pittman, Pamela Froman, Cathy Borlenghi’s Mrs. B, MCL, Christina Green, Andrea Montgomery Stewart and Gina Cartwright’s Charmed Circle to name a few. Some of the new styles to watch for…..in earrings, there’s the “Dior Stud” at a bientot, as studs make a comeback, the “Ear Wrap” at Cotton Club, Ashley Pittman has taken horn and expanded from her necks and cuffs into earrings at Neiman Marcus and Tootsies….and who wouldn’t want a Lollipop Ring at Cakewalk Style or a fringe dangle from Christina Green and how about that bib necklace from Elaine Turner, and the tassle necklace from Kendra Scott. So much to talk about! There are more, but lastly, this holiday would not be a holiday without the spiritual designs of Katie Designs.
