Roz,
I’m Coordinator for Fashion Merchandising program at Stephen F. Austin State University and met you once a few years ago at the FGI Career Day in Houston–also a regular reader of your blog. We have renovated a space on campus here in Nacogdoches for a Fashion Gallery in which to host student exhibits of historic costume and other events. We are planning a Gallery Opening, tentatively April 9, 4-6pm) and are seeking a speaker to give a brief Gallery Talk related to fashion that would attract our local fashion enthusiasts to attend. Would you be available? We could cover mileage and one night at local hotel. Thought you might like an excuse to visit our beautiful campus when the azaleas are blooming and know you have a habit of supporting educational endeavors related to fashion. Planning for our students to mount a costume exhibit related to Hollywood fashion icons and their influences. Could also arrange for you to speak to fashion students in a class earlier in the day if you would like. If you have any questions, please let me know. Look forward to hearing from you! Best regards, Becky Greer, Ph.D., Professor and Coordinator, Fashion Merchandising Program, School of Human Sciences, Stephen F. Austin State University. Office Phone: 936-468-2209
Hi Becky,
So sorry to be a few days in getting back to you but I have been swamped this week with deadlines. I need to check the date. I am Chairman of the Board of UH Retailing Dept. and I believe we have a board meeting scheduled that day? They were moving some dates around which is why I don’t know for sure. I have sent the coordinator an email asking and will get back to you.
Thanks for thinking of me.
best,
Roz
