A few weeks back my hubby Alan and I were treated by the General Manager and team to an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Houston. For the purpose of our stay, which happened to be on our anniversary weekend, an easy twist-of-the-arm was all that was needed, to share with us the debut of the magnificent, Rottet designed renovation and transformation of the guest rooms and specialty suites. In exchange for a much needed night away/staycation for us we were asked to participate in the task of videoing the new look for their website. Not a tough exchange and guaranteed to be and was a lot of fun!
For those that may not be aware, during the downtime of the pandemic the team at the Four Seasons were busily working on completing a revamp of guest rooms and suites and an unveiling of the new Presidential Suite and Penthouse that was begun in 2019. Following a multi-phase renovation project, the iconic downtown hotel continues to raise the bar for luxury hospitality with the beautiful redesign that captures the essence of Houston. The new design of the guest rooms and suites was imagined under the creative direction of renowned international architecture and design firm and the ever-so-popular these days, Lauren Rottet of Rottet Studios. The new rooms and suites such as the Ambassador Suite, where we spent sour time, were ‘so-Rottet’ in feel, reflects an aesthetic that is both warm and welcoming yet fresh and contemporary. Every detail from the wi-fi/audio connectors to the use of the famed retro-luxe Erno Lazlo skin care line which made my day! (more on that subject to come!)
The Suites….
The enhanced specialty suite experience has been elevated with the soothing colour palette and design appeal seen throughout the guest rooms. The design inspiration, ala Rottet, is a nod to beautiful big Texas skies featuring warm undertones of dark wood, rich saddle leather and antique brass details.
All suites have been enhanced. Most notably, the Presidential Suite and Penthouse have been completely reimagined and reconfigured. Both located on the twentieth floor with alternative sweeping views of Downtown Houston. Each suite has been many amenities such as spacious living spaces and bedrooms with oversized bathrooms. Also some special features include a designated in-suite gym with weights and a Peloton bike for the guest that wants a private workout without leaving the comfort of their room.
The Experiences….
For guests experiencing every day occassions and special events (like our anniversary!!), the Hotel has introduced three in-room curated experiences, along with a special package only available to the Presidential Suite and Penthouse.
