Music With Friends, the private members-only club for music lovers in Houston, kicked off it’s 2019 season with special guest, world famous guitarist, Don Felder, formerly of the original Eagles. The enthusiasm of the crowd was over-the-top as he played many of the songs we all have known and loved for decades. The venue, new to MWF’s last year, The Jeanette and L.M. George Theater, was rocking at the seams as the crowd listened, danced and sang along with Felder for one familiar song after another. He continues to sing and play many of the Eagles classics that he co-wrote with the bands, Don Henley.
Music With Friends was happy to shout-out in their pre-show announcement, “As if we weren’t already excited to see Don Felder on April 24th, but now that Don Felder’s Gibson double-necked guitar is out on display at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, we know we are lucky to see such a legendary artist perform this month.” The instrument Felder used for 40 years to play “Hotel California,” the masterpiece he co-wrote for The Eagles is now considered a huge piece of musical history. |
