Hello all! It’s Vicheka here. I had the pleasure of attending a tasting at the popular, Field and Tides, located in the Historic Heights! Whether you are craving steak or seafood, this quaint converted home is sure to have what you’re looking for! They recently launched their new fall menu, and it does not disappoint!
But first of all, let’s rewind back real quick. How did this hidden gem even come about? It is a partnership between Executive Chef, Chef Travis Lenig and Christopher “Chico” Ramirez. They knew each other while both working at Liberty Kitchen prior. Through a mutual desire to open a restaurant together, they made it happen and now here we are today!
“Field” is for the fresh local vegetables, pork, beef, game and more and “Tides” is for the locally sourced seafood, especially the Gulf, that is served. Lunch and Dinner is served daily, whereas Brunch is for the weekend, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm.
Appetizers: include Roasted Texas Quail, Fried Chicken Livers, and more.
Roasted Texas Quail // Molasses Glazed, Creamed Swiss Chard
Bottom Left: Negroni Cocktail // Bottom Right: Fried Chicken Livers // Arborio Rice Flour, Picked Vegetables, Arugula, and Hot Sauce Syrup
Entrees: includes Gulf Snapper, Pecan Crusted Trout, Prime NY Strip Steak, and much more!
