As Katherine Hepburn once said ‘a girl with fabulous shoes is never ugly.’ Shoes to me are unquestionably of utmost importance for the creation and completed look of your chosen outfits, and being aware of the most stylish interpretations is always a great way to show off your inner Kate Moss.
Fall is coming. So now it’s time to put your summer sandals into storage and start organizing your layers, thinking about textures and chunky heels. We love this time of year, and frankly so do your feet. You finally have the right support they need, comfort and style to walk you through fall and winter. Now for ‘on trend’ choices…
Wrapping Up:
The wrap detail is a great way to emphasize your ankle and leg, drawing attention to it. Try to stick to minimal hardware as this helps keep the look on the sleek side of casual, making these boots as versatile as they are very much on trend.
Statement Sleek:
Sleek, slim, pointy, shiny, and embellished are all very much in! These are the perfect evening or occasion statement boots. They look equally cool during the day with dark jeans, a T-shirt, and a leather or lace jacket. They can be dressed up or down depending on situation.
All about the fringe:
Fringe is one of the biggest trends of the year, and it’s on bags, jackets, skirts, and boots. Wear them with skinny jeans or dressed down with more simple dresses and shorts.
Lace it up:
Lace-up boots are very much everywhere at the moment. Yes it may not be entirely easy to slip into these beauties but very much worth it in the end. Make sure the laces match the boots for a sleeker and more versatile appearance. Contrast laces, especially on tall boots, can be a little bit ‘over-the-top’.
Dare To Go Over The Knee:
These super tall boots can make pretty much any outfit look ridiculously sexy, but they are especially great over skinny jeans, or with miniskirts and dresses that leave just a few inches of exposed leg between the hem and the boot. Best to keep it simple ladies!
Texas State:
This fall’s cowboy-inspired boots are a little bit shorter and sleeker than the real deal, but perfect to wear through to Rodeo season when you will need to dig out the real deal! Great for adding quirky flare to an outfit.
Made in Chelsea:
You cannot ever go wrong with Chelsea boots. They are the perfect addition to your closet. These look great with most outfits but especially with a cute skater top and skirt or daytime dress. These come in an array of colours so don’t shy away from your norm! I do love riding boots without the heel also – I recently made this purchase for my horse-riding lessons but also been wearing them out socially!
Colour of Fall:
Burgundy boot options are available in every trend. What a nice change from the unsurprising black and brown colours we usually see in fall.
I know fall boots are on the minds of my friends at the moment, trying to find the best fit and style. Good luck and I hope this helps our readers – feel free to send in your ‘go-to’ fall boots or the shops you are heading to.
