Elizabeth Anthony Opens her Newly Renovated Doors For Joyful Celebration

Feature_DSC4125aNewly expanded and renovated Elizabeth Anthony Boutique in Uptown Park has Grand Opening Celebration

Last Thursday night, Julie Roberts, proprietor of Elizabeth Anthony boutique,  opened her new doors for all to see her expanded +2,000 square foot space that she has taken over since the departure of famed florist and next door neighbor, David Brown.  As if her beautifully designed and renovated now 7.500 sq. ft. boutique was not enough for all of the fashion revellers there to celebrate, she expanded for one night only to an adjacent tented venue to showcase the Escada collection that she was featuring for this special grand re-opening evening.  The many updates to all areas of the store gave a much needed modernity to the decor of this legendary location.

The Name Change:  After sixty years of the iconic Esther Wolf name, an institution that dressed generations of stylish women from Houston and afar, and following the last twelve years of owner Julie Roberts’ original store name combined with it to create Elizabeth Anthony/Esther Wolf, the time has come to simplify the company’s brand to the more effortless Elizabeth Anthony.

ABOUT THE NEWLY DESIGNED BOUTIQUE

This newly expanded location now borders Ceron Hair Studio to one side and M. Penner to the other. Display windows were expanded creating an exciting opportunity for an expanded visual presence and more merchandise focus. Famous architects, interior designer, lighting specialist and my friend David Danburg of Fixtures International, a local firm that I have spent many a day working with have all added their touches to complete the new and exciting visual package for the customer.

ABOUT THE SHOW + OTHER DESIGNERS THAT HAVE BEEN ADDED

Escada’s Resort Collection was the star of the tented show, set up adjacent to the new boutique.  There were many people waiting, post-show to try many of the pieces from this popular collection of day into evening wear for the E.A. customer.  Julie and her team also used this opportunity to quietly amp up their inventory offerings that included Armani Collezioni,Rolando Santana, Dolce & Gabana and many more. From contemporary to luxury to jewelry to handbags, the store is set to showcase many new designers that have not been there in the past.  Some of those new designers include Zac Posen, Max Mara, Costume National , Edie Parker Handbags, Blumarine, Sydney Evan Jewelry and an expanded inventory from another favorite of mine, Jenny Packham.
