Hi, Chelsi here and I’m so glad to be back! This is truly the most confusing time of the year. Kids are back in school, Pumpkin Spice Lattes are on the menu, Halloween candy and Christmas decor are in stores – all signs that Fall (my favorite season!) is here! Then I step outside and it is over 100 degrees – it is not at all Fall! This will continue at least for another month for us in the South but every day I wonder, “is today the day I can wear my boots? My deeper lip color? A smoky eye?”.
Even though it might not feel like Fall for some of us, there are simple ways we can ease our look into Fall, without our face melting and feeling like we are totally out of touch with what’s really going on outside.
Your Skin
First, I don’t care what season, what temperature, where you are in the world, SPF is always in season! So when the temps do drop, do not drop this step! For coverage, you can start to ramp up your coverage and sticking to a matte finish versus a dewy one will take a step in the right direction for the new season.
Your Eyes
As much as you might want to, it is still too early for a smoky eye. However, dig out your eye liner to add subtle drama to a nude eyeshadow. This is also a time to focus on your brows. Adding a little structure to your brows frame your face and adds to an overall more polished look.
Your Lips
Time to trade in your clear or lightly pigmented lip balms for something with more color. Grabbing a satin finish lipstick with one-swipe pigment payoff will instantly give you the Fall feels while not melting off!
So while you are desperately seeking Fall and cooler weather, we can at least have the look and be ready for it when it finally happens!
