On Thursday night I visited Cotton Club Collections on San Felipe to see all of the newest happenings in that store. First, I had the chance of meeting with Carol Peretz at her trunk show staged there. I must say I fell instantly in love with her extraordinary pieces. We reported on this at the start of the week to prepare you all for the event and all of the special dresses that she would be bringing, including fabrics for special orders. The other and more permanent new “hot spot” in the store is the new Men’s Shop that was recently installed. Wow, what a nice addition to the boutique….now men can shop while shop along with their female companions or come alone and enjoy!
The Men’s Shop at Cotton Club Collections
While I was at Cotton Club I couldn’t wait to check out their new addition and join in the celebration of the official opening of Michael Wiesenthal Men’s collection. Unfortunetly my husband couldn’t join me, this was maybe not a bad thing as I know he would have ‘done a Francene’ and wanted everything in his shopping basket! I would definetly recommend having a gander at your convience – I mean it’s an excuse to selfishly shop for yourself but also look for gifts for your man or father!
After carrying out my research on this brand I read that “he doesn’t sell just clothes, but he helps men dress to fit their lifestyle and to make the personal statement each wants to make”. He does this by offering an array of beautiful made to measure suits, sport coats and shirts, as well as unique accessories such as their fashionable personalized wallets, underwear and cufflinks.

Carol Peretz Trunk Show at Cotton Club Collection
Speaking with Carol we discussed how refreshing it is to see her gorgeous pieces so different from anything you would usually find in the main stream shops or designers. She very much believes you should feel like a princess but as comfortable as if you were wearing light and delicate materials, after trying on one of her ‘must have in my closet’ dresses you feel like this! She usually adds pockets to her dresses and skirts (LOVE it when designers do this), her designs very much flatter all shapes and her sizes range from a 2 to 14 with usual retail prices ranging from $1000 upwards. Her items can be custom-ordered.
Her designs very much look vintage-modern – if that’s a possible description. She is based out of New York and this is where her designs are made and sent to select shops like Cotton Club all across America and Canada.
What I love about her collection is the fact she has a section for special occasions, then slightly more formal for work attire and then unique designs to wear as day and night dresses. There really is something for everyone.
If you would like more details regarding Carols range please check out her website here and put in your planner now for next year her trunk show! She comes here every year.
