Cannes Film Festival 2016 Red Carpet, the Fashion Event that has everyone’s attention at the moment
The French city of Cannes, known for the most famous and glitziest of film festivals is hosting the 69th annual event right now. The city will be showcasing celebrity-studded premieres, private screenings and many glitzy parties for the 11 days, May 11-22, that comprise the event. For me, this year, it has surpassed the Met Gala as a showplace of beautiful, mostly couture, gowns that are the highlight of the season. There are many new gowns showing up every day, but below are just a sampling of some of our favorites that we have curated from the array of beauty in both fashion and jewelry that glitzed along this beautiful waterfront Riviera film capital…..
Naomi Watts in Michael Kors silver slip dress and lavender embellished Armani Prive gown with accompanying Bulgari jewels
Stunning in Tuxedo looks were Blake Lively, in Gucci with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Victoria Beckham in her own pant ensemble and Chopard jewelry
Blake Lively, who People magazine named the Queen of the Festival wore many different exquisite looks. This one was from Salvatore Ferragamo, with Chopard Jewels and Kristin Stewart in a black sheer and pleated ensemble from Chanel Pre-Fall 2017
Woody Allen and crew of actors from his Cafe Society at its Cannes Premier
Another stunner look for Blake Lively in her ultra-feminine Viviene Westwood in layers of tiered embellished gowns and Eva Longoria in a sophisticated neutral and white gown from Pamela Roland
For her hubby’s Money Monster premier, Amal Clooney in Atelier Versace pale lemon gown and Anna Kendricks in citrus Stella McCartney
Always stunning, Emily Blunt in all-over silver metallic Stella McCartney
Armani Prive in exquisite contrast…..Julie Roberts in classic black with Chopard jewels (and barefooted in protest to Cannes rule of no flats, love it!) and Jessica Chasten in bold yellow, also in Chopard jewels
Jessica Chasten attended the Money Monster premier in Alexander McQueen nude sheer, embellished gown; Petra Nemcova in a stunning Georges Chakra dress at the premier of From the Land of The Moon
A favorite add-on to the looks I had pulled was this Gucci gown worn by Kirsten Dunst. I am loving the creativity being seen back at Gucci again with its new design team, headed by Creative Director, Alessandro Michele

Amazing fashion. I love all of the glam that goes along with these great gowns.
