The mysterious “storefront” for one one Las Vegas’s top restaurants!
If your travels take you to NYC, Las Vegas or Los Angeles then you must add Beauty & Essex to your itinerary! On my first visit to the NYC location a few years ago, I was totally throw by the pawn shop exterior. In fact I thought I was in the wrong place for dinner, but once you walk thru the back door you walk into a super swanky bar with a speak easy vibe. It feels hidden and luxurious!
Heather here, and last weekend I was in Las Vegas and I couldn’t help but go back to Beauty & Essex. Like the NYC location, the pawn shop exterior has not changed. Located in the trendy Cosmopolitan hotel, this location opened in 2016 and remains one of the most sought after reservation in town.

If you are in Las Vegas you know cocktails are equally as import as food. I started with an Emerald Gimlet (Absolut ‘Elyx’ Vodka, Basil, Lemon Nectar, Fresh Lime) and it was delicious. Check out their other amazing cocktails here. With dinner we moved to wine and the selection was just as impressive.
Chef Chris Santos has created a menu of simple yet unique dishes that offer something for everyone. The sharable plates allow diners to sample it all. I love this style of eating! I was with a group of four and we each picked out two dishes and then we added one more and it was a perfect amount of food. My hands down favorite was the Mexican Street Corn Ravioli with their famous Grilled Cheese, Bacon & Tomato Soup Dumplings a close second.
Go ahead and drool on some of our other selections in the images below.

Noticed we didn’t have dessert? We were just too full, however I would recommend saving room because the sweet section of the menu looked oh so tempting!
