Hi, I am Alyssa Evans, intern at My Red Glasses, and Roz and Julie are still in sunny Florida so I’m talking to you about summer entertaining also, only this time, it’s stepping out on the town! A wall of windows that overlook Post Oak Boulevard in Uptown and an outdoor terrace make RDG + Bar Annie the perfect setting for your next summer meal. Starting June 23rd through July 27th Chef Robert Del Grande, will launch a Summer Food and Drink series…to help those of us that don’t get a break away from the Houston summer heat, …..have a more casual meal of summer fare and hopefully feel just a little bit cooler!
The Menu
This casual series will feature three course prix fixe menus at the great price of $29.50, that alternate week to week with a Summer Burger & Beer menu (June 23-29), Summer Fried Chicken (June 30-July 6), Taco & Enchilada (July 7-13), Summer Fish Fry (July 14-20) and Summer Shrimp (July 21-27). Some yummy dishes to look forward to include Slow Cooked Brisket Enchiladas, the Classic RDG Burger with smoked cheddar sauce and fries, and a Red White & Blue Sundae to start the week of Fourth of July off with a bang. Summer cocktails, wines and craft beer pairings will also be available.
This series accompanies their already “Convivial Cocktail Hour,” a relaxed twist on the typical happy hour, where guests can choose the hour most convenient for them. This menu is available Monday through Friday 4pm-10pm and Saturday 5pm–10pm, and includes drinks like a fruity Pomegranate Margarita or a tasty light bite like Steak Tartar Maki.
