For Mark Badgley and James Mischka NYFW was a grand celebration. These guys were there to present their latest collection which brought all of the glam that we are used to but was very special this season as they celebrate their 25 years of doing what they do best, the way they have always done it. Their collection of daytime as well as their signature evening collection, were all laced in glamour. There was a feel for modernity in the air blended so well with their classic glamour looks touched with a retro feel.
This 25th Anniversary collection brought with it a festive feel to the room. Everyone was there to share in the celebration for these two men who have made their place in beautiful dressing for all of that time and for many more to come. Naomi Campbell who walked their first show with them a quarter century ago, presented them with a cake and then proceeded down the runway, arm-in-arm as hundreds of silver balloons fell from the sky. The finale with a runway full of beautiful dresses was a fitting salute, balloons cascading down, to these gentlemen’s contribution to the fashion world.
