Due to the success of last week, The Annie Café & Bar is now hosting a 3-day weekly food truck pop-up and drive-thru featuring dishes by Executive Chef Robert Del Grande. Starting today, Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17 from 3:30-7:30pm and Saturday, April 18th from 11am-3pm, guests can enjoy a different menu with 5-6 dishes and a cocktail to-go each night. On Saturday, Hardie’s Fresh Foods will also be on-site with their “Mobile Farmer’s Market” selling produce boxes for $20, and Merchant Café will be selling a selection of their famous chocolate chip cookies.
For those of you that are Annie Fans and missing it these days while its doors have been closed, here is your answer……Robert Del Grande, Ben Berg and Sam Governale have put their creative brains together and decided how best during these times to bring Annie favorites to its loyal fans. Personally, I missed getting there last week when they first popped-up this concept before Easter. However, I was delighted to hear that it was such a hit that they have put together a plan to do this now every Thursday thru Saturday while we continue in these tough times and until all feel safe opening doors again!
The truck will be parked in front of the restaurant where guests can pull through and order upon arrival, without getting out of the car.* Swing by to see familiar faces, Chef Robert Del Grande and Operating Partner Sam Governale, who will be wearing gloves and following the strict health and safety guidelines. See attached for the menus along and learn more at this link.
*(Guests will enter the parking lot on Post Oak by La Table and then exit on Ambassador Way. They can drive through or walk up and order upon arrival. Pre-orders are not being accepted this week. Since The Annie is not currently open for take-out or delivery, it will continue to host this pop-up every Thursday-Saturday until it reopens for regular dine-in service.)
Went by for crabmeat tostadas and tortilla soup! Delicious! Thanks for doing this!
