“Hey Y’all!”
I’m sure that saying rings a bell to those of you that watch the Food Network. As a star, Paula Deen is known for her warm, southern hospitality and cooking. She is a mother to two boys (Jamie & Bobby), a chef, a restaurateur, a two-time Emmy award winner, and much more. Luckily for Houston, this September 17-18, Paula Deen will be teaming up with The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show and traveling to the lovely and hopefully still cool, Houston!
Paula Deen will be sharing her bubbly spirit with those in attendance as she teams up with Heloise, a San Antonian, who like her mother before her, is well known for her helpful advice, her column “Hints from Heloise,” and her contribution to Good Housekeeping. These two will also be teaming up with Dallas’ very own Tara Wilson, the Queen of Merrymaking!
The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show’s events, which 
are located at the Reliant Center, will range from presentations, meet-and-greet opportunities, and workshops. The James Beard Foundation will also be there providing a cooking stage and a group of chefs such as our town’s Robert Del Grande, Bryan Casswell and many more from around Texas.
The weekend will be packed with fun, tasty treats, and education! While at the event, you can attend a selection of workshops and cover topics pertaining to event décor, cake decorating, etiquette authority, chocolate, food and travel writing, coffee beans, and several others. There will also be over 100 exhibitors in booths set up with local and international specialty foods and food products FOR SALE!
