This past Sunday, more than 70 Houstonians came out to Ben Berg’s newest dining venture, B.B. Lemon-Montrose for a festive, Beach Bash & Drag Brunch benefiting the Montrose Center. Only the guy whose opening parties are becoming the “place to be” these days, Ben Berg of Berg Hospitality Group, could pull off such a wild and crazy afternoon. The afternoon which also opened the restaurant to the public featured build-your-own mimosa and Bloody Mary bars and passed hors d’oeuvres……all miniature versions of the B.B. Lemon brunch menu items by Executive Chef Emily Tussler. The brunch menu which will be launched next month includes savory waffle bites with pulled pork, pancakes, pigs in a blanket, watermelon salad and custard beignets.
Guests mingled and danced to tunes by D.J. Ramalama while enjoying fab entertainment by a trio of drag queens. All proceeds from the $75 tickets will support the Montrose Center.
It should be noted to stay tuned as the B.B. Lemon Montrose opened to the public for lunch and dinner on Monday. Brunch and “Lemon Hour”/happy hour will be launched next month.
