Recently, the elevated loungewear brand Camp Aspen unpacked its trunk at Tootsies with a private cocktail pop-up event, giving invited guests an exclusive first look at its new women’s collection titled “Elegant by Nature” which will be available online (https://campaspen.com/collections/all beginning June 21. The event also featured the second edition of its collectible Campzine, a stylish scrapbook of mostly real and sometimes imagined moments and memories that serve as a primer of sorts for what makes Aspen, Aspen!
Hosted by Houston-based brother and sister team – founder Patrick Ryan and president Maidie Ryan – the evening was not just about fashion but also philanthropy. The event, which included post-shopping dining next door at PostScript, benefited the non-profit Bo’s Place. The Ryans, along with Tootsies honchos Norman Lewis, Fady Armanious, and Shelley Ludwick, engaged with a large and eclectic group of casually stylish attendees. Guests snapped up beautifully constructed tees and caps, colorful cashmere travel sets, and chic sherpa vests while sipping on cocktails from Texas Black Gold Distillery and Smith Devereux Vacationer rosé.
The festive crowd, many of whom planned to put their purchases to use for summer travels to cooler weather climates, immediately, nearly depleted Camp Aspen’s racks by night’s end.
Chef Bryan Caswell provided delicious bites that added to the evening’s charm and celebration of the timelessly cool namesake Colorado destination.
Among those noshing and celebrating were Kathryn Josey Rao, Bethany Buchanan, Lauren Levicki Courville, Camila Cubero, Donna Lewis, Mary Ann Hebrank, Johnny Rinando, Disney Harris, Leisa Holland-Nelson, Marcy de Luna, Lauren Paine, Michelle & Aaron Scheffler, Shavonnah Roberts Schreiber, Miya Shay, Beth Zdeblick, Roz Pactor, and Melanie Camp.
Online sales for both the new women’s and men’s collections begin at www.campaspen.com on June 21. Check out the images from the event, credited to Quy Tran, here.
