This coming Friday, May 22, an unusual shopping event is happening in Houston. 17 local boutique owners have joined forces to participate in an online shopping to encourage shoppers that are possibly not quite ready to resume their in store shopping habits but still are interested in purchasing some new summer wear. This event is being coordinated with a new start up launching in June, Turn Turn(http://turnturn.com) that provides a store-to-door delivery service for shoppers that will include an in-home try-on service.
The online sale, which will cover only a 24-hour period, is offering $30 off of all purchases of $150 or more and $50 off of purchases of $250 and above.
The purpose of this event is to encourage Houstonians to shop local and support small businesses.
