The one thing about times like these is that we can see once again, see just how generous and caring Houstonians can be. Excited to hear just yesterday about one of the newer drives in our city that is aimed at giving substantial financial aid to our over-worked Houston Food Bank that is being called upon to assist so many in our community that are in need of food for themselves and their families.
Astros third-basemen Alex Bregman and his fiancé have partnered with one of our city’s top philanthropist that never seems to stops giving back and in this case, also happens to be huge Astros fans, Tenenbaum Jewelers, on a $1 million campaign to benefit the Houston Food Bank.
The campaign which is doing amazingly well has reached $800,00 from many Houston notables who have been very generous to this point. However, to increase chances of reaching that $1Million goal and beyond, Tenenbaum Jewelers (http://www.tenenbaumjewelers.com) has added a very special incentive. For their #FEEDHOU campaign the jeweler has stepped in to offer as a THANK YOU for every $1,000+ that is donated, $2,000 gift cards will be awarded at random. Tenenbaum has set aside $50,000 for this gift card giveaway…….sounds like a great doubles win!!! (Astros lingo, of course!). You can help children that are in need of assistance to be properly fed and you have a great gift from Tenenbaum that I know you can’t wait to spend!!
It should be noted that Bregman’s campaign which launched last week opened up with $100,000 from Matress Mack McIngvale and Astros owner Jim Crane who also pledged $100,000. However as Bregman points out on his Insta that all are encouraged to give, no matter how small and that even $1 will pay for three meals for a child!
