If you’re still figuring out where and what to eat for New Year’s, we have you covered. See below for some of our favorite restaurants that will be open on New Year’s Eve and / or New Year’s Day.

B&B Butchers & Restaurant – Join B&B also on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31st, for a fun, festive evening of delicious food, drinks, party favors, and (most importantly) live music and a DJ! Downstairs in the bar area, David Gallego, a singer and guitarist, will perform from 7-10pm, and then Flashdrive, an incredible DJ and strings group, will perform upstairs from 10-11pm to get the party going. The DJ will stay to spin tunes from 10pm-1am on the upstairs patio (which is covered and heated!). There is no ticket fee or prix-fixe menu, so guests can order off the regular dinner menu. Return on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1st, to recover and rehydrate at the “Hangover Cure Brunch” from 11am-3pm. Enjoy live music on the rooftop patio, decadent brunch dishes including a black-eyed peas & greens special and IV drips! Bounce Hydration’s van will be in our parking lot ready to give the best post-NYE IV drip! Be sure to make an appointment and stop in before or after your meal. They will be offering the Big Baller Drip at just $125 (usually $175) for B&B and B.B. Lemon customers. Boosters for anti-nausea or headache will also be half-off.
The Annie Café and Bar – Don’t miss this chance to ring in 2020 with dinner and dancing at The Annie! Join us on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31st, for an evening of delicious food, specialty cocktails, 2020 swag and live music! Singer Bob Luna, accompanied by a pianist, will kick off the night at 7pm, followed by The Richard Brown Band from 10pm-1am. There is no ticket fee or prix fixe menu, and guests can order off the regular dinner menu along with a few specials. The Annie will be CLOSED on New Year’s Day.
B.B. Lemon – Join B.B. Lemon on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31st, for a fun, festive evening of delicious food, drinks and party favors. There is no ticket fee or prix-fixe menu, and guests can order off the regular dinner menu. Return on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1st, to recover and rehydrate at our Hangover Cure Brunch with live music on the patio (which is covered and heated)! IV Drips from Bounce Hydration will also be available at a discounted rate in the B&B parking lot across the street. Executive Chef Emily Trusler will create a black-eyed pea and greens special to ensure health, wealth and prosperity in the New Year.
B.B. Italia Kitchen & Bar – Join B.B. Italia on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31st, for a fun, festive evening of delicious food, drinks, party favors, and (most importantly) live music! Don’t miss singer Alicia Gianni perform with a guitarist from 7-11pm. There is no ticket fee or prix fixe menu, and guests can order off the regular dinner menu. B.B. Italia will be CLOSED on New Year’s Day. Benjy’s – Open Christmas Eve, normal hours 5-10pm, with their new menu!
Bisou – Toast 2020 at Bisou’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade – a dinner affair to remember! Mystery and intrigue await at one of Houston’s hottest dining destinations. Known for an unparalleled combination of continental cuisine and curated entertainment, Bisou will feature three New Year’s Eve seatings, each more delicious than the next. Prepared by French Master Chef Frédéric Perrier, guests will enjoy decadence personified with lavish coursed menus and the vibrant sounds of a live DJ throughout the evening and into the New Year. Reserve you seat here for this River Oaks District must attend event. First Service (three courses, $75, 5-7 pm), Second Service (four courses, 7-10 pm, $125 with complimentary glass of champagne) and Third Service (five courses, 10 pm – midnight, $250 with complimentary half-bottle of champagne) feature increasingly decadent dishes for your final indulgence of the decade.
BORI – Open New Year’s Eve with their regular menu and hours, 5-11pm
Hotel Alessandra – Make new memories at Lucienne this holiday season. Three seatings are available to indulge in a four-course New Year’s Eve dinner menu: 4:30 pm for $55 per person, 6:30 pm for $75 and 9 pm for $95. Wine and cocktail pairing priced at $45 per person. The three-course New Year’s Day brunch menu is priced at $60 per person and offered from 11 am until 2 pm.
Hotel Derek – Party into 2020 in style at the New Year’s Eve Black and White Electric Ball at Uptown’s Hotel Derek. The event will features multiple stocked bars, favors, lite bites and DJs playing current and old school Top 40 and dance floor favorites. Purchase tickets for the one-of-a-kind event here. Whether you’re looking to make a night of it at the hotel or just need stylish overnight accommodations, room rates are available starting at $199. Experience a seasonal twist on a go-to cocktail at Revolve Kitchen + Bar. The trendsetting spot is showcasing a Maple Pecan Old Fashioned throughout the holiday season. This winter inspired bourbon highball features muddled orange, cherry, maple syrup and orange bitters topped with ginger beer over ice. Available for $9.Kiran’s – There will be a buffet at Kiran’s on Christmas Day, $75 for adults, $35 for children 4-10. Choose from one of three seatings: 10:30 am, 1 pm, and 3:30 pm.
La Lucha – Celebrate the new year and new decade with La Lucha! Their menu will be served family style and includes jumbo shrimp cocktail martini, golden gnocchi with winter vegetables and greens, fried chicken and biscuits, crawfish fritters, and more! La Table – Looking for a chic New Year’s Eve celebration? Celebrate with an exquisite dinner tasting menu for $95 per person and a toast as a DJ plays his lounge tunes on both floors/concepts. There will be a projector for the NYE count down. Make your reservation anytime between 4-11 pm at either Château at La Table or Marché at La Table. There will be special Champagne from 9 pm to 1am.
Le Colonial – What better place to ring in the new year than with the crew at Le Colonial? Houston’s beloved French-Vietnamese hotspot is rolling out all the stops for the new decade! Chef Hassan will design a curated $85 three course menu featuring Moet Chandon specials. Each diner can expect a token from the restaurant that will keep you coming back in the new year! Zip upstairs to the lounge following dinner to keep the party going into 2020! With live music, specialty cocktails and more Moet Chandon giveaways there is no better place to celebrate a new decade! New Year’s Eve Lunch will end at 3 pm and dinner service to commence at 5 pm. Reservations encouraged.
MAD – It’s the ultimate definition of celebrating New Year’s Eve “in style.” Join buzzy Spanish hotspot MAD, located in the heart of River Oaks District, for a party you won’t be able to stop talking about ’til 2021. Enjoy live DJ sounds along with an exclusive $125 prix fixe menu. For those who like their veggies, there’s a vegan menu as well. The restaurant will also be hosting a 1920s themed party from 10 pm -2 am that includes dancing, passed hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast. Radio Milano – Radio Milano’s high tea program presents the perfect CITYCENTRE holiday shopping interlude or a deliciously memorable way to gather with friends and family over the season. Available daily between 11 am until 4 pm with 24 hours advance notice, the elegant service showcases the world-class loose-leaf teas of Dammann Frère alongside a selection of chef-prepared gourmet bites. Priced from $30 for two people or $50 for four, guests enjoy a pot of tea each along with a choice of three, shared savory offerings like Bruschetta with Proscuitto di San Daniele and sundried tomato or Antipasto Skewers with Coppa, Fontina and Kalamata olives plus Smoked Salmon with dill cream and capers. The experience can be customized with a variety of savory and sweet additions including a $10 dessert tier for two with assorted macaroons, bread pudding bites, Nutella profiteroles and mini tiramisu.
Roka Akor – On New Year’s Eve, indulge in Roka’s modern approach to Japanese fare with a savory six-course tasting menu featuring signature steak, seafood and sushi offerings for $128 per person. The vibrant atmosphere and sleek interior create the perfect backdrop to kick off 2020 — plus, enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The New Year’s Eve menu includes items like Yellowtail Sashimi, a Two-Piece Nigiri, Grilled Scallops, Alaskan King Crab and Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake.
Royal Sonesta Houston – Cheer in 2020 at Royal Sonesta Houston on New Year’s Eve with a delectable surf, turf and champagne feast. Priced at $39 per person, the special includes veal tenderloin and lump crab with Bearnaise sauce, asparagus, Yukon mashed potatoes and unlimited pours of champagne. Add on a dessert and salad for just $10 more. Available on December 31 in both ARA and Axis from 5:30 – 10 pm. Holiday hotel rates starting at just $119 per room, per night offer the ideal antidote for out-of-town guests and a wonderful way to spend a night or day on the town, steps from The Galleria and magically lit Post Oak Boulevard.
State of Grace – Say goodbye to 2019 somewhere new with State of Grace’s signature dishes for the table! Indulge in their famous butter biscuits, roasted gulf oysters, scallop crudo, crispy rainbow trout, Mirabelle plum sorbet, and more! $85 per person. Last seating at 11pm. Steak 48 – Tis the season for something sizzling! Known for their impeccable service and buzzy ambiance, River Oaks District’s favorite steakhouse is serving their full menu for guests to enjoy! From famous raw bar combinations to sizzling plates and opulent sides there are plenty of options to satisfy every guest in your party! Open New Years Eve and New Years Day. Reservations Encouraged. Superica – Superica will be open for lunch on Christmas Eve until 2:30 pm, ready to help you celebrate Christmas the Tex-Mex way with plenty of chips, queso and signature items – don’t forget to wash it all down with a margarita or two!
Yauatcha – Enjoy your New Year festivities in style at Hakkasan Group’s sleek, modern Chinese eatery Yauatcha. Located in the Jewel Box at The Galleria, indulge in their savory 12-course tasting meny for $88 per person, and an additional $38 for wine pairing. Their craft cocktails are not to be missed this holiday season!
