On Friday, April 5 we were treated to the fourth annual Bayou Bend Luncheon and Fashion Show. The luncheon was hosted on the grounds of the magnificent timeless estate, the Bayou Bend Collection where we were seated under a stunning garden tent on the lawn, surrounded by the beauty that is the historic Bayou Bend estate. The decor was provided by The Events Company/Richard Flowers. All eyes were drawn to the back drop of the stage, a fresh flower wall filled with vibrant roses, tulips, hydrangeas and ranunculus.
The highlight of the luncheon was the stunning Fall 2019 Collection by designer Adam Lippes. Lippes showed 42 looks, many of which provided such a wow for the audience. Attendees were able to shop the designer’s Spring collection there at the luncheon but for many of us interested in the Fall outfits, there was a post-luncheon trunk show at Neiman Marcus Galleria after the show and for three days after.
Gary Tinterow welcomed the guests followed by comments by both Elyse Lanier and Adam Lippes, acquainting all with the designer, tracing his history and relationship with both Elyse and her daughter Courtney Sarofim, who has been a follower and supporter of Adam’s. The hair design was provided by Ceron and the upbeat show by local fashion show producers Lenny Matuszewski and Tamara Bonar. The lunch was a perfect array of salads by City Kitchen, followed by the dessert that made us all swoon and have to indulge…….the pecan ball was back and we could not have been more delighted! The 2019 Luncheon raised $307,000 for the Bayou Bend Operating Budget. Principal Underwriter was The Galleria/Simon Property Group with retail partner, Neiman Marcus.
Following are many of the photos of the lovely styled ladies and gents eager to have the opportunity to sport their newest Spring looks……….
