Hat Hair Tips……or How to Avoid The Much Dreaded Hat Hair, particularly during the hot summer months…….
1. Spray Your Roots….Lift parts of your hair up and apply hairspray. This will help reinforce your hair, providing a little bit of volume and combating the dreaded squish.
2. Opt for a Hat-Friendly Hairdo…A sleek ponytail, straight hair, or a slicked back bun will work well with anything put on top of it.
3. Take it Off Indoors…Take your hat off indoors and give your head a rest. There’s no need to keep a hat on and continue to let your head sweat.
4. Use a Dryer Sheet…Run a dryer sheet over your head before and after putting on your hat, this will reduce static.
5. Put the Volume Back in….Rub a baby wipe over your hair to reduce natural oils; this will give you back some volume.
